Grandmother's Presence

My mom told me that when I was about one year old, I fell down the stairs. We are still renting the whole second floor of an apartment at that time. She didn't notice that I was out of the apartment until somebody shouted that a baby was falling down the stairs. After realizing that it was me, she practically run out of the apartment and found me lying on the ground smiling and unscathed. I was still one year old then. She told me that it was a very steep and long stairs and it was a miracle that I was just lying there without bruises or not even crying.

Three years after, when I was 4 years old. I saw two angels watching over us while my family was asleep. It was in the middle of the night and I woke up hazily. They were white and golden. They were looking after us. I think that the second angel belongs to my brother. I believe that children have their angels to watch over them.

Ten years after, when I was in 5th grade, I accidentally fell again a very steep stairs at school. My classmates told me that I was rolling like a ball directly hitting a cement floor on the basement. But I was never scared even if there was a big possibility that I would hit my head first. Just before hitting the ground, I felt light as if someone just lifts me up in the air, allowing me to touch the ground in sitting position. I felt my grandmother's presence after, as if she was there with me. I believe that my grandma is my angel. Eventhough she died long ago before I was born, I believe that she is watching over me. For the second time around I fell down the stairs unscathed.

Now, that I'm 21, I still feel their presence when everything seems too bleak. They give peace, warmth and security to me when IÕm down and lonely. I believe in angels and I know that each one of us has.
