Pleuiku, VietnamOne night on guard duty I was about to go to my tower to guard our compound in Pleuiku, Vietnam. As I reached the door, mortar rounds were hitting our compound from every direction. The AOD (Administrative Officer of the Day) ordered all of us to our towers. As I walked under a building a mortar round went off above my head. I only remember is a crushing force hitting me and pushing me to the ground. In what seems like a second, a white light covered me and I found myself under a bed in the guard quarters. The only way for me to get those hundred yards or so was my guardian angel took me from a point of death to a point of life. I live today to tell everyone how wonderfully my God is.
