Following is a poem written by a daughter for her
father who is suffering from Lou Gehrig's disease:
(Lovingly written by Luree)
He sits with me and he shares my life
From sun's first smile
To night's last gasp.
No matter the course of each day's ride
On my shoulder he nests.
His face is unseen
His name is unknown
But his breath and his voice
Like the wind
Bring me home.
Messages from heaven are born on his wings
Emboldened with hope
And measureless joy.
Enabling me to smile today in the dusk
And be ever at peace in tomorrow's sunrise.
