A Life in Japan

Through the 28 Yrs. on the Toronto Police Force, I was involved in studying Judo, Karate, Tae-Kwan-Do and since I am 64 Yrs., old Tae-Chi.

When I was 5 or 6 yrs. old I always was looking for information on Martial Arts but being in rural New Brunswick I couldn't find to much. Finally in about 1949 I found a magazine on Judo and one on Jujitsu. I kept reading and studying them until they were almost worn out.

I moved to Toronto in 1963 and I found a place that taught Judo near where I was living and started taking classes.

In 1965 I joined the Toronto Police Service and found that Judo was much help when people are punching and kicking you. A police officer was teaching full contact Karate at the Willodale Police College and he taught us Karate.

Some time after I took Tae Kwan Do and I currently take Tae Chi.

I have had many dreams that I was living in Japan where I was fighting other clans and I was speaking Japanese.

I believe that my search for information about Martial Arts starting back when I was a child was because I had lived previous life times in Japan.
